Puerta Vallarta

The honeymoon was spectacular. Awesome. Wonderful. I definitely was not ready to head back to Ohio after a week filled with the sun, ocean, and amazing fruity drinks. We spent our time together doing super fun things. We went snorkeling, and saw some cool fish. We touched a jellyfish and a pufferfish. We hiked to a beautiful waterfall in the rainforest. We went downtown to the flea market. We got lost downtown, in a shady area, with a lot of spanish speaking people who were terrible at helping us find our way. Luckily, a nice old mexican man told us we needed to take the jiggly bridges to get to the flea market. We made it there eventually, and decided that those few hours downtown were just enough for us. We went zip-lining in the rainforest super high up, on 14 different zip lines. We fed and petted monkeys. I held a giant iguana, a snake, and had a rabbit on my head. I was the one woman zoo animal show. We swam with two super cute dolphins, Lluvia and Alli. We did different hand motions for the dolphins to kiss, hug, or dance with us. We also were pulled along with the dolphins. I loved the dolphins, and it was my favorite part of the trip. We got a couple massage that was decorated with rose petals. It was heavenly, I've never had such a wonderful massage. We were treated like VIP at this SPA. We were given water with orange slices, and amazing warm type of juice. We had a sauna and a hot tub to relax in before and after the massages. It was a perfect experience. And the food. The food was amazing. I haven't eaten so much food in a week in my life. Every night one restaurant had a different theme for dinner. There was Italian night, BBQ night, Mexican night, Shrimp night, Western night, Troical night, and Seafood night. Each dinner had a great salad bar (with cold pasta salads and things I actually enjoyed) and a to die for dessert buffet. We got our moneys worth. Some of the theme nights even had shows we could go to. For example, Mexican night we saw traditional mexican dancers and learned some dances. We listened to a mariachi band and bet on a mexican horse race. We won 200 pesos in the horse race. Nolan competed in a limbo competition. On Western night we went to a show too, and we got to ride mechanical bulls. I lasted longer than Nolan, and it was unexpectedly more fun that I thought! We drank frozen smoothies every day. We had drinks out of coconuts and pineapples. We enjoyed saying gracias and hola. We saw tigers and tropical birds. Like I said, I could've stayed in Mexico and became a beach bum. To sum it it in one word--perfect.
