Two weekends ago, MGDUBS reunited for BGSU Homecoming. It was super fun seeing all the gals and Hendy again. The Saturday was consumed with talking, laughing, pudding, BW3, Hendy, hair mustaches, fish bowls, and lots of fun. Is it Literacy in the Park Yet ;)
Can't wait for little baby Woeste to arrive:)
I also visited El Zarape that weekend with Amy and Dani, and caught up with all the latest gossip. We spent two hours there, I'm pretty sure the waiters were ready to get rid of us. Especially since we were drinking water.... From there, we added a few more calories to our healthy dinners and stopped by DQ to meet Heidi and Karly. More gossip there, and Heidi told us all about "little debbie" AKA Ginger, her niece. Girls nights are always fun.
The past work week went super fast because it was super busy. We had a state trooper come in to school one day for our community helpers unit. We also took our annual field trip to the fire station for fire prevention week. The kids were able to get in the fire trucks, fire engines, ambulances, pretty much anything they wanted to go it. Even the rescue boat. Best comment of the trip "What do you keep in that small door" one kid asks the fireman about a small door on the fire truck. "I bet it's an armadillo." another kid responds. Really, an armadillo!?!?! Teaching kindergarten sure does keep you smiling. We also walked to the local ice cream shop after the fire station to treat the kids, by far my favorite part of the trip!!
This weekend was busy as well. Friday night I ate way to much of the never-ending pasta bowl with Nolan, Andrew and Nicole at Olive Garden. We then found our inner kids and played Wii games for a couple hours. I will get better at racing cows, dang-it!
Saturday night Amy brought over her wedding invitations supplies and we spent several hours helping her assemble them. Her wedding is exactly two months from today, crazy! We also went and saw the movie Life as We Know It with Katherine Heigel and Josh Duhmel (gorgeous!) Really cute. Go see it.
The busy weekend continued on Sunday as Nolan and I decided to go to Hallow Weekends at Cedar Point. The weather was perfect, the rides were awesome, and the haunted houses were spooky. I definitely screamed a few times before the night was over. Debate of the day--Nolan estimated that we walked about 10 miles throughout our time at cedar point, but I think he's way off. I guess two or three. What do you think?!
Today was Columbus day, and I may or may not have slept until 11:15. What? Who does that anymore. Oh well, it was fabulous. After finally getting out of bed and eating breakfast we went to see The Social Network, the movie about facebook. I really liked it as well, go see it. Makes me wish I was smart enough to invent something like that. Who wouldn't like to have 25 billion dollars for inventing the coolest website ever?
Wow, this is long blog. I know all of my followers have been waiting anxiously for an update because you are all so interested in my whereabouts, so enjoy this short novel. Speaking of novels, I am saddened with my lack of time to read them. Goal--read more during the school year. To accomplish this, I need to join a book club. MGDUBS book club via facebook? Think about it;)
Happy Monday.

Don't you wish your brother was smart enough to invent facebook so we could just live in florida year round?

ReplyDeleteYes, Michael I do wish you would've invented it. as long as I received more than .03 percent stock of it....
ReplyDeleteAnd Bets, I'll have to get The Help, but I may not finish until Christmas at the rate I'm reading...
