Viva Las Vegas!

We just got back from our amazing trip to Las Vegas for our 1 year anniversary. We went to Vegas for a whole week, and we could have stayed longer! There is so much to do and see in Vegas (for a pretty penny)!! We stayed in a hotel on the south side of the strip called Tahiti Village. The room was nice, the pool and lazy river were great, to bad we didn't spend a whole lot of time there! Aside from maybe 3-4 total hours of pool time (for the whole week!), we were really only there to shower and sleep! We spent almost all of our time on the strip, and man my feet could tell! I wore my pedometer one day (really nerdy I know!) and it calculated that we walked about 11 miles, and that particular day was our shortest day on the strip!

We rode Gondulas at the Venetian, saw dolphins and white tigers at the Mirage, saw sharks ant Mandalay Bay, toured the Eiffel Tower at Paris, rode a roller coaster at New York, New York, saw lions at MGM Grand, ate delicious frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity,  and saw lots of shows. We saw the Blue Man group which is  a group of 3 blue men who never talk and do lots of acoustics and comedy skits. We saw Jabawockeez, which is an awesome dance crew. We saw Peep Show (mainly because I'm a reality T.V. junkie and like Holly Madison). We saw Cirque de Soleil Mystere, which was awesome. We saw Legends, which had 5 different impersonators, my favorite being Lady Gaga. We saw an afternoon show, Nathan Burton, who was a comedian/magician. I still have no idea how he can do the tricks he performed. We also saw Vegas, which was a variety show. We went to Minus 5 Ice Bar, where everything in the bar was made of ice--the seats, the tables, the decor, the bar, even the glasses! It was awesome, and a little chilly:) And the food in Vegas is delicious. The buffets were great but I never seemed to know when to stop eating!

We did venture off the strip one day for a bus tour down to the Hoover Dam. I was very interested in how the Dam was built and all of the history behind it. Not to mention, it was a great view!

Nolan and I did test our luck gambling a few nights. Needless to say, we were not so lucky. Next time, next time we'll win it big;)!

Here we are on our Gondula ride at the Venetian. Our driver even sang to us!

Here we are at Minus 5 Ice Bar. They gave us coats, boots, and gloves to wear to stay warm while we were there.

The Blue Man group!

Mmmm, delicious frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity!

At my favorite store, M&M's world!

Did I forget to mention, we met Johnny Depp!

Here we are at the famous Las Vegas sign!

Our Last night in Vegas, with the strip lit up behind us!

Take my advice, go to Vegas. You'll love it!
