So today was the 100th day of school! The kids each brought in 100 items of something to count, we had 100 day crowns, 100 glasses, 100 dollar bills, 100 pencils, 100 stickers, and 100 bookmarks. Sounds like a pretty good day in the life of a kindergartner, doesn't it?!?!?!
We even had this tasty treat as party of our 100th day of school celebration. Successful celebration in my eyes. However, I did have one kid say at the end of the day "When are we going to have our party? I thought we were having a party for the 100th day of school?" Umm, excuse me, what did you think we did all afternoon?! I'm not sure what they were expecting, but in my eyes a party constitutes presents (um check, glasses, pencils, stickers, etc), food (check again, cookies), games (check again), and having fun (definitely check!!) Oh well, at least most of the kids were thankful for the things that I gave them! (And they looked super cute with their crowns and 100 day glasses)
And these are the super adorable glasses themselves. Jealous? You should be!
Today, the hubby had the day off of work. Instead of having to come home after work to cook dinner, (which is definitely not my favorite thing to do) he made dinner for us instead. Score! Chicken, rice, and broccoli. I knew I married him for a reason;) I guess that I could at least make dessert. I'll keep you posted....
